November 6-12, 2023
Monday November 6, 2023: Welcome to Marrakech
Arrival at the Barcelo Palmtree hotel in Marrakech starting at 2pm, depending on flights and other travel arrangements (hotel name TBC).
The cars will be delivered directly to the hotel.
2pm: Training session in navigation and desert driving (mandatory for beginners) – during this time, the cars will be equipped with Tripy devices (handled by the organizers)
6.30pm: Briefing sessions for all participants and instructions on how to use the Tripy GPS.
7.30pm: Welcome happy hour followed by dinner.
Night at Barcelo Palmtree hotel Marrakech
1st Leg: November 7, 2023: Marrakech - Bin el Ouidane
Departure from Raid via a trek through the Atlas and our first pit stop in Bin el Ouidane.
2nd Leg: November 8, 2023: Bin el Ouidane - Midelt
Lodging at the beautiful Widiane Hotel in front of The Bin El Ouidane Lake
3rd Leg: November 9, 2023: Midelt - Merzouga
Here you’ll only have the Road Book to guide you to the Erg Chebbi, where your hotel will be waiting for you to rest up and recharge during three delightful evenings at the friendly Auberge du Sud - lodging during 2 nights
4th Leg: November 10, 2023: Merzouga - Merzouga
Here you are at the foot of the dunes!
All together will spend the day with Patrick Zaniroli and Alain Lopes at the "Dunes Driving School", exit timing and Regularity tests in the dunes.Everyone will head out together to explore the famous Erg Chebbi.
This time it’s a full-on sand bath for everyone! Maneuvering through the dunes will be like a walk in the park by the end of the day since you’ll all have become experts in the art of driving in the sand.
The whole day will be dedicated to exploring the incomparable Erg Chebbi and reveling in the totally unique feeling of driving in the seemingly endless waves on an ocean of sand.

5th Leg: November 11, 2023: Merzouga - Boulmande Dadès
Lodging at the nie Xaluca hotel in Boulmane du Dadès
6th Leg: November 12, 2023:Boulmane - Aït Ben Haddou (near Ouarzazate)
That evening we’ll all enjoy the rewards and applauds for the winners followed by a lovely poolside dinner.
7.30pm: Awards Ceremony
8.30pm: Closing dinner
Lodging in the sublime Kar Ighnda Hotel near the beautiful Kasba Aït Ben Haddou (Unesco)
The End : November 13, 2023: Back to Marrakech and Europe
The morning will be spent driving to Marrakech to return the 4WD rentals and catch your planes home, unless you decide to spend the weekend onsite and take in the sights.
