TM 26: How to participate?
THREE WAYS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TRANSMAROC:
- Raid Category:
If you are new to off-roading, this allows you to complete the entire course without the pressure of the stopwatch, with only one Regularity Zone being taken into account each day, in order to introduce you to Regularity.
- Beginner Category:
In a standard 4x4, rented locally or brought from France, you will take part in the entire event at ‘Moderate’ speed and, in the dune areas, you will enjoy more accessible routes and regularity zones than those on the ‘Expert’ route.
- Expert Category:
In a specially equipped 4x4, rented locally or brought from France, you can take part in the event, keeping to higher average speeds and tackling more difficult routes in the dunes or off-road.
WHAT VEHICLE SHOULD YOU USE? :
- Raid or Beginner Categories:
You will need to drive at an average speed of ‘Low’, so a standard vehicle is more than adequate. You can either bring your own from France or hire one in Marrakech.
On-site rental: €200/day x 8 days + €30 for washing on return, i.e. €1,630 for the Raid – Non-refundable deposit: €3,000
- Expert Category :
You will need to drive at an ‘intermediate’ speed, so a specially prepared vehicle is necessary. You can either bring your own from France or hire a Hi-lux from us. (4 cars available)
Available for hire on site: Toyota Hi-lux – TT tyres – 2 spare wheels – Tyre inflator (limited number)
Rental in Morocco: €230/day x 8 days + €30 for washing on return, i.e. €1,870 for the Raid
Non-refundable deposit: €3,000
For hire in France:
Toyota Hi-lux double cab – Reinforced chassis – Reinforced front axle – Koni shock absorbers – 2 spare wheels – Inflator – Bucket seat – Harness – TT tyres – Roll bar – Comprehensive insurance
Rental: €240/day x 8 days, or €1,920 for the Raid; transport days are not charged and Non-cashable deposit: €3,000
